Lets go for a carnival today…Lake Charles is a beautiful freshwater lake with white-sands situated in the state of Louisiana. Lake Charles celebrates the legend of the pirate Jean Lafitte every year in the month of May as a huge festival. This fourteen day festival encourages pirates of all ages. The festival also known as Contraband Days is the state’s second longest festival. This year the Pirate festival is from May 1-May 13. There is lot more to enjoy in Lake Charles, Louisiana than the Pirate festival.
