Let’s go for a carnival today. The Caribbean island of St.Maarten has always been luring people to visit them on holidays and vacations. It is one of the hottest tourist destinations and people love to spend time with the blue seas, sandy beaches and some exotic food. Now there is yet another to visit St. Maarten this April. The St Maarten Carnival 2012 is round the corner and there is plenty to do and experience here. Let’s have some glimpses of the Carnival last year.

The Dates
The St Maarten Carnival 2012 starts on the 19th of April 2012 and goes all the way till the 2nd of May 2012. However to enjoy some traditional pre carnival days and events be there before the 31st of March when some great pre carnival events are lined up.
The Events
Right from Road March Competitions to Junior and Senior Queen Pageants, there is a huge array of events organized on each and every day of the carnival. Senior Calypsos, International music concerts in Hip Hop, Jazz and ofcourse the Grand Parades are all a sight to see.
Other Activities
When not in the Carnival, one can enjoy the various activities available to participate in, while on the island. You can go snorkeling, or hire a Harley Davidson and go about biking, enjoy activities on the beach, take a yatch sail or simply enjoy a game of tennis. There are endless things to do when holiday making on the island. There is even a very active nightlife which you can experience here.
